First Name James Haithwaite is a great example of someone who’s put their life-long passion to good use. Having nurtured an interest in classic cars from a young age, James has since built upon his experience as a private client trustee to offer end-to-end classic car collection management and curation services, encompassing everything from initial due diligence and purchase through to sale or succession. As an expert helping hand (as opposed to a broker), he has dealt with the sale of millions of pounds’ worth of prestige motors and taken care of some of the most significant classic car collections in the world.
Beyond spending much of his time travelling the UK, Europe and the US on behalf of clients, James’ personal interest and professional specialism see him attend some of the world’s best classic car events. Next month he will be attending the XK70 Jaguar Festival in England, celebrating 70 years of the XK engine. In advance of this, James caught up with James Page of The International XK Club, the festival organiser, to share how his interest in classic cars evolved from passion to profession:
